Valentina: La Reina de Hip Hop Habla Sobre La Vida, La Musica, y Las Olimpiadas

Damas y Caballeros, bienvenida a otro segmento de El Noticiero Alvarez-Galloso. Tengo como una invitada de honor la reina de Hip Hop Valentina. Valentina recibió una invitación y acepto ser entrevistada por este humilde servidor.

Valentina está promoviendo su nuevo disco “A Taste Of Me” o “Sabor A Mi”. El disco está llegando a las altas esferas de popularidad con la verdad en el alma. Por eso y mucho más, estamos con Valentina, La Vida, La Música, y las Olimpiadas.

¿1. Cuando usted decide convertirse en un artista de hip hop?

Hace aproximadamente 2 años. Antes de eso, escribí poesía (sigo, realmente). Un día, un buen amigo me desafió a escribir una canción en uno de sus temas y que fue el partido que enciende el fuego llamado VALENTINA el rapero.

2. ¿Qué es la inspiración detrás de su música como “Agarre el grifo”?

En mi nuevo Mixtape, “Sabor a Mi”, el sexo es el tema principal y la inspiración. Hay algunas pistas que no son sobre sexo, pero principalmente, estoy explicando cuánto me gusta dar y recibir placer. Soy una persona muy sexual, y escribo sobre cómo me siento. (Sonrisas) “La llave de sujeción” es acerca de cómo alguien yo dormía con ella me dio lo bueno en la ducha escribió una canción sobre ello. (Risas)

3. ¿Qué establece Valentina aparte de otros artistas de Hip Hop?

Sólo escribo sobre lo que tengo o lo que realmente he hecho. No puedo escribir sobre diamantes impecable, autos exóticos y jets privados; No tengo esas cosas. Sin embargo, puedo escribir sobre sexo, sentirse sexy y otras cuestiones que se refieren a mí y a mi base de fans.

4. ¿Qué has aprendido de otros artistas en lo que respecta a la música con el fin de formar el estilo que es exclusivamente de Valentina?

No puedo decir que aprendí mi estilo de alguien o que había combinado estilo de esta persona con la que uno es y hace mi propio. Soy VALENTINA y escribo sobre mi vida. Lo que he aprendido de otro artista es cómo maniobrar en el lado del negocio de las cosas. Cómo trabajar con ingenieros profesionales, productores y celebridades y no consiga estrella golpeado, o miedo de expresar mis verdaderos sentimientos. He aprendido que VALETNINA es un negocio y esto no es un juego. Estudio y leer sobre el negocio en que estoy. La lección más valiosa es que la mayoría de ofertas se realizan en la barra, no en la etiqueta; papeleo viene más tarde. Conozca a la gente en el negocio de la música a nivel personal antes de promover el CD. Es mi estilo.

5. ¿Cómo sus orígenes jugar una parte en tu música?

Mi papá es un músico maestro y ha estado tocando la guitarra y los instrumentos de percusión por más de 40 años. Creo que la música está en mi ADN y que me quiere hacer esto.

¿6. Habra conciertos con artistas como Pitbull, Gente De Zona y Omega?

Me gustaría mucho absolutamente! Soy una mezcla de Puerto Rico, Africa y Indigena. Aprovechamiento de mi herencia Latina con mi música es algo que estoy muy emocionado.

7. ¿Cuál es su mensaje al mundo?

Si nadie le dijo que le aman hoy… VALENTINA esta contigo agradeciendo su amor y apoyo de mi carrera artistica.

 

Decidimos hacer preguntas sobre las Olimpiadas.

 

1. ¿Cuál es su opinión acerca de los Juegos Olímpicos de 2012?

Simplemente me encanta y admiro cómo la gente puede entrenar tan duro y sacrificar mucho para llegar a competir en los Juegos Olímpicos en primer lugar. Me motiva a seguir poniendo todo mi corazón y alma en mi música y si Dios quiere, una nominación al Grammy (un día), será mi equivalente a lo que los Juegos Olímpicos desde la perspectiva de un artista.

 

2. ¿Quién es tu deportista favorito?

Michael Phelps, Michael Phelps Michael Phelps. Quiero exprimir a su trasero con ambas manos. (Risas)

Valentina: The Latest and Greatest Hip Hop Sensation for the 21st Century Talks Life, Music, and The 2012 Olympics

For someone who keeps up with the latest genre and artists in the present century, I managed to find a few gems in the sea of music and culture. An example of such a gem or a diamond is Valentina.

Valentina released  “A Taste of Me” which is beginning to become popular in many areas of the country including Florida. An invitation was extended to Valentina for an interview and she accepted.

The rest is history

1. When did you decide to become a hip hop artist?

 About 2 years ago. Before that, I wrote poetry (still do, actually). One day, a good friend challenged me to write a song to one of his tracks and that was the match that lit the fire called VALENTINA the rapper.

2. What is the inspiration behind your music including “Gripping the Faucet”?

On my new Mixtape, “A TASTE OF ME”, sex is the main theme and inspiration. There are a few tracks that are not about sex, but mainly, I am explaining how much I like to give and receive pleasure. I’m a very sexual person, and I write about how I’m feeling. (Smiles)  “Gripping the faucet” is about how someone I was sleeping with gave it to me so good in the shower I wrote a song about it. (Laughs) 

3. What sets Valentina apart from other Hip Hop Artists?

I only write about what I have or what I have actually done. I can’t write about flawless diamonds, exotic cars and private jets; I don’t have those things. However, I can write about sex, feeling sexy, and other issues that relate to me and my fan base.

4. What have you learned from other artists in regards to music in order to form the style that is exclusively Valentina?

I can’t say that I learned my style from anyone or that I combined this person’s style with that one’s and made my own. I am VALENTINA and I write about my life. What I have learned from other artist’s is how to maneuver on the business side of things. How to work with professional engineers, producers and celebrities and not get star struck, or afraid to express my true feelings. I’ve learned that VALETNINA is a business and this is not a game. I study and read about the business I am in. The most valuable lesson is that most deals are made at the bar not at the label; paperwork comes later. Get to know the people in the music business on a personal level before promoting the CD.  That’s my style.

5. How do your origins play a part in your music?

 My dad is a master musician and has been playing the guitar and percussion instruments for over 40 years. I believe that music is in my DNA and that I was meant to do this.

6. Will you ever perform with Latin Hip Hop Artists such as Pitbull, Gente De Zona, and Omega?

I would absolutely love to! I am a mixture of Puerto Rican, Black and American Indian. Tapping into my Latin heritage with my music is something I am very excited about.

7. What is your message to the world?

If Nobody told you they love you today… VALENTINA does and I appreciate your love and support as I continue to grow as a new artist.

 

After talking about life and music, I invited Valentina to talk about the 2012 Summer Olympics.

1. What is your view of the 2012 Summer Olympics?

I just love and admire how people can train so hard and sacrifice so much to get to compete in the Olympics in the first place. It motivates me to continue putting all of my heart and soul into my music and God willing, a Grammy nomination (one day), will be my equivalent of making it to the Olympics from an artist’s perspective.

                                                                                                                               

2. Who is your favorite athlete? 

Michael Phelps, Michael Phelps Michael Phelps. I wanna squeeze his butt with both hands. (Laughs)
