Personal Reflection About Scarborough Athletic FC

The Scarborough Athletic FC is another example of a famous football/soccer club from England. It was formed in response to the demise of the Scarborough FC in 2007. It is administered by its supporters and the board from the Seadog Trust.

The Seadog Trust assisted in the formation of Scarborough Athletic FC in the hope that it could compete in the 2007-2008 Football/Soccer season in England. The experts in football/soccer did not think that neither the Seadog Trust nor the Scarborough Athletic FC would last long.

The experts were surprised when the club named Brian France as its manager. Brian France was previously employed as manager of North Ferriby United and was credited with turning around the fortunes of that club.

The first season of the Scarborough Athletic FC under Brian France was successful taking into account the little amount of time in preparing for the 2007-2008 Season. Shaun Chadburn was the first Scarborough Atheltic FC player to score a goal for the team during their game at Northhallerton Town.

The victories of the club over Bridlington and Sutton established Scarborough Athletic FC as a club that could not be underestimated. The club finished the 2007-2008 season as semi finalists in the North Riding Senior Cup and an honor of Programme of the Year in the Northern Counties East League Division One Monthly Magazine and Soccer Club Swap Shop.

Scarborough Athletic FC started the 2008-2009 season better than the previous season. The Seadog Trust converted into a club society with membership increasing to 500. The club was a finalist of the Northern County East League President’s Club as well as champions of the Northern County East League Division One.

The club was also the recipient of the Programme of the Year for the 2008-2009 Northern County East League Division One and was in 12th place on a national level in Non League Football/Soccer at the Soccer Club Swap Shop. The Scarborough Athletic FC is starting its 2009-2010 season with confidence as the team progresses from its humble beginnings in order to take place as a famous English Football/Soccer Club.

It must be remembered that the Scarbourough Athletic FC is famous not only because of its players but also because of its supporters who refuse to allow themselves to be without a football/soccer club. The supporters of the Scarborough Athletic FC deserve the applause of the world of sports including football/soccer for deying the odds and participating in the creation of a team owned by them

Happy Xmas for Scarborough Athletic

According to the Scarborough Athletic Newsletter dated 4^th of December 2007, Scarborough Athletic Football Club will appeal their six point deduction and 300 Sterling Pound Fine in Leeds on the 8^th of January 2008.I wrote to the Seadog Trust of the Scarborough Athletic Football Club to voice my support for them and also to support the struggle to retain the name and crest of the club.

For the Seadog Trust:

It is important to maintain the name Scarborough Athletic Football Club and Retain the Crest. The team inherited the name and crest and is symbolic of football in Scarborough. Football has undergone a revolution with the takeover of Ebbsfleet United by My Football Club.

 

The Football Fans Website MyFootballClub has agreed to pay 700,000 Pound Sterlings with members paying 35 Pound Sterling each. They will decide the future of Ebbsfleet United.

As a football fan, Roberto welcomes the idea of a football supporter website owning a football club. Some may have talked about the feasibility of such an experiment but it is a great idea.

Scarborough Athletic has a trust based on their supporters and it is hoped that one day supporters of Manchester United could use the Phoenix Fund to recover what was taken away from them by Glazer and company.

More power to football fans and clubs such as Scarborough Athletic and Ebbsfleet United.

Scarborough Athletic FC & North Riding Senior Cup

Scarborough Athletic Football Club will be advancing towards the Secondary Preliminary Round. They will be playing against Fishburn Park at the Turnball Ground at Whitby’s Town on the 14^th of November 2007.

The winner of this match will be able to advance towards the First Round by playing either Thornaby or Guisborough Town.

This also includes the fact that Scarborough Athletic will be playing against Rossington Main on the 10^th of November 2007.

Scarborough Athletic has my support and I hope they win these two games and the North Riding Senior Cup.

Joe Lightowler who is the striker for Scarborough Athletic has been ruled until the beginning of the next preseason. The reason is a surgery in the knee secondary to an injury he sustained during the game at Rainworth. This comes at a time when more bad news arrived with the suspension of Medcalf and the position of the team in eighth place with thirteen points in the First Division of the NCEL.Regardless, Scarborough Athletic like Scarborough itself is like the mythical Phoenix arising from its mistakes to go for more glory. Scarborough Athletic will win and win big. Football runs in the veins of Scarborough via its teams Scarborough and now Scarborough Athletic.

Metcalf & Scarborough Athletic

Richard Metcalf who is a 21 year striker from Brodsworth Miners Welfare Club has signed a deal with Scarborough Athletic.

Under the deal, he will be registered with Scarborough Athletic and Frickley Athletic.

Richard Metcalf has been praised by the Scarborough Athletic Football Club Player Liason Officer for his ability to goal. This will serve well in the next game against Gedding Town on the 3^rd of November 2007.

My question is can a player be registered with two clubs?

Scarborough Atheltic Recibe Castigo Injusto

El Equipo de Futbol Scarborough Athletic recibio una multa de 300 Libra Esterlinas y una deduccion de 6 puntos de la Liga del Condado Noreste.

La Razon, sus jugadores no fueron tenian los requisitos legitimos para jugar pues estaban bajo suspension. Jugadores como Hogg, Phillips, Hightower fueron suspendidos de sus ligas pero no hicieron la notificacion debida al equipo.

Aunque Scarborough Athletic tenian la responsabilidad en estudiar los expedientes de los que quieren jugar, no fue justo el castigo. Las reglas deben ser transparente y justa para todo el mundo.

A pesar de la injusticia, Scarborough Athletic derroco a Yorkshire Amateur 3 a 0 en su juego del 27 de Octubre 2007

Scarborough Athletic Unfairly Punished

Scarborough Athletic has received a a six point deduction and a 300 Pound Sterling Fine from the North Counties East League.

The reason has been for having ineligible players such as Craig Hogg, Darren Phillips and Joe Hightower [suspended by the East Riding County FA while playing at Scarborough Atheltic FC].

Normally, the North Riding County FA notifies Scarborough Athletic FC of any actions against players that sign with Scarborough FC. In this case, there were no notifications from the Football Associations or the above mentioned Football Players.

It is unfair to punish a recently formed club for rules that they did not violate willingly. It is unfair since Scarborough Athletic did not even receive notification. Scarborough Athletic will have to be direct with its Football Associations and from future players so that the club is not taked advantage of.

In spite of this injustice, Scarborough Athletic was able to defeat Yorkshire Amateur 3 to 0.
