Amanda Pollard for 2011 RRI Personality of the Year

My nomination for the 2011 RRI Personality of the Year Award is Amanda Pollard. Amanda Pollard rose to the stratosphere of American Music in the year 2011.

Amanda Pollard is the American Diva of the 21st Century whose vocal range is varied in all spheres. She also recorded her hit song “Uh Oh” and has received a thunderous applause for her efforts.

Amanda Pollard has interpreted the song made famous by Rihana called “Umbrella” in a way superior to Rihanna. She has managed to advance in the major league with singers such as Beyonce, Diana Ross, and Ella Fitzgerald.

Amanda Pollard is also a kind and generous artist who believes in God and the worth of people at a time when both are lacking. It is for this reason that I nominate Amanda Pollard for RRI 2011 Personality of the Year.

Jessica Shepherd and the 2010 Personality Of The Year Award [My Nomination Letter to RRI]

Jessica Shepherd deserves to be awarded the 2010 Radio Romania International Personality of the Year. Jessica Shepherd is also known as the First Lady of Texas and Americana Music for her efforts in promoting true music from Texas and the USA.

In one short year, the Texas Singer Songwriter has made the world a better place with her music and humanitarian gestures.

Jessica Shepherd has a project which is dedicated to helping the senior citizens who are in assisted living facilities in Texas. Her project consists of music therapy designed to help them connect to their past and improve their memory.

The therapy consists of visits to these facilities and singing music to the senior citizens.

The result has been an improved physical and mental health for the residents of the assisted living facilities and their families. Jessica Shepherd has not only limited herself to the Music Therapy Project.

She is also dedicated to bringing music to people’s lives by offering singing lessons. The result has also been the improvement of their lives and reduction of tension. After all, singing is the key to better health.

The Love of God that Jessica Shepherd has in her heart has lead her to participate in the Rockin’ Gospel Project at Maria’s Taco Express [which is a local restaurant] in Austin, Texas.

It is at this restaurant with the Rockin’ Gospel Project that many people converted to the word of God. The group itself has made numerous appearances in the US TV Channel called the Gospel Music Channel. One of the programmes in which they featured was called “Kitchen Sink”.

The Texas Music Awards even nominated the group for the 2009 Best Vocal Group.

Jessica Shepherd received a nomination in 2010 from the Texas Music Awards for the Best Female Vocalist for her latest album “You’re Country Now”. The songs in this album such as “Do Your Damn Job”, “Ethyl’s Purty Place”, and God By Your Side” have been popular in the Asia and Pacific area such as Australia, Japan, Korea, and China.

The CD is also popular in Europe and North America with people wanting what is true music from a true artist.

The previous album by this multitalented artist “Travellin’ Girl” was also a big hit in Australia and the USA.

Jessica Shepherd has offered the world so much that she deserves to be named 2010 Personality of the Year by Radio Romania International. Thank you Radio Romania International for taking the time to read my recommendation.

Letter To Radio Romania International Nominating International Singer Maria Lourdes for Personality Of The Year RRI 2009

Dear Radio Romania International:

 

It is hoped that when you receive this letter, that everything is great in Romania especially in Bucharest which is known as the Paris of Central Europe.

 

It is a pleasure and an honour to nominate a Personality of the Year 2009 taking into account the changes in Romania and Central Europe including Radio Romania International.

 

The underwriter would like to nominate the following person for her multifaceted talent as a singer, actress, model, and humanitarian. Her name is Maria Lourdes.

 

Maria Lourdes is a Cuban American Actress, Singer, Model, and Humanitarian who was born in New Jersey in 1989. Her parents were from Cuba.

 

She began her career at an early age and was able to rise to the top of her career. Maria Lourdes has recorded two albums and currently works as a member of the chorus and model of the Univision program “Don Francisco Presenta”.

 

Her albums “Sensual” and “Sin Genero” dealt with the need to think positive about life and to trust in God. “Sin Genero” deals with different rhythms in the US Latin Community.

 

The two songs from “Sin Genero” dealt with love of family and country. “Un Canto a La Caridad” talks about the Virgin of Charity in Cuba and the non violent movement within Cuba “Ladies in White” who have suffered repression in Cuba.

 

The song “Navidad” or “Christmas” is a Carol for the Twenty First Century and calls on people to celebrate the holiday with family and friends yet taking into account the fact that Jesus Christ is the reason for the season.

 

The humanitarian work of Maria Lourdes know no limits since she has sang in concerts to raise money for the treatment of Zunette Rodriguez [who was born without oxygen or limited quantities to her brain].

 

She also participated in various fundraisers around Miami to help orphans and the disadvantage of the world. She also participated in the movement “La Misma Moneda” which calls attention to the fact that in Cuba there is a currency for the common citizen and another for tourists and the elite.

 

It is with this in mind that the underwriter recommends Maria Lourdes for Radio Romania International Personality of The Year for 2009. Thank You very much.

Espero al recibo de este articulo te encuentres bien junto con los demás en Bucarest [Paris en Europa Central]. Es un honor poder hablar de la personalidad del año para el 2009.En la época de personas que merecen reconocimiento en un mundo que premia los que no lo han recibido, quiero nominar para Personalidad del Año 2009 a la destacada artista cubana-americana María Lourdes.

María Lourdes nació en Nueva Jersey en el año 1989 de padres cubanos. Ella inicio su carrera siendo niña trabajando como cantante [solista, y en coro], actriz, modelo, y humanitaria. Ella trabaja en el programa “Don Francisco Presenta” en Univisión como miembro del coro y modelo.

La carrera de cantante resulto en la producción de dos discos “Sensual” y “Sin Genero” que la consolido en la música latina en los Estados Unidos de Norteamérica. Las canciones en el álbum “Sensual” retan a sus oyentes a pensar y vivir de un modo positivo.

El álbum “Sin Genero” es un recorrido por los distintos géneros de música latina en los Estados Unidos de Norteamérica. La canción “Un Canto A La Caridad” abarca el tema de la Virgen de la Caridad del Cobre, Las Damas de Blanco, y el tema de la libertad de Cuba.

El tema “Navidad” habla de celebrar las Navidades en familia, disfrutando de la vida en familia y amistad sin olvidar de que la razón por las Navidades es el nacimiento de Jesús para salvarnos de nuestros pecados.

En una época donde los individuos hablan de la apatía juvenil, María Lourdes es una humanitaria. Ella fue la autora intelectual y actual de un concierto para beneficiar una niña Zunette Rodríguez y su familia. La Srta. Zunnette Rodríguez nació con un defecto debido a los problemas del parto de su mama. El resultado fue la falta de oxigeno en el cerebro de la Srta. Rodríguez.

Ella recaudo fondos para el tratamiento mediante este concierto. María Lourdes [durante el verano de 2009] llamo la atención sobre las distintas monedas en Cuba con participación en “La Misma Moneda”. En Cuba, hay una moneda para el ciudadano común y otra para los extranjeros y la nomenclatura.

María Lourdes participo en otros concursos en varias emisoras en Miami para recaudar fondos para los niños en América Central incluyendo Honduras. La lista de los logros de María Lourdes es inagotable y su talento es el equivalente de escuchar a los ángeles del cielo.

Por eso y mucho más, considero que María Lourdes merece el Premio Personalidad del Año 2009 de Radio Rumania Internacional.

Carta a La BBC sobre el 20 aniversario de la Caida Del Muro de Berlin

Cuando cayo el Muro de Berlin en 1989 [junto con lo que sucedio en aquel entones Europa Oriental], escuche mediante mi receptor de onda corta emisoras como la BBC, Radio Praga, Radio Polonia, Radio Bucarest [ahora Radio Rumania Internacional], Radio Budapest, Deutsche Welle, y Radio Berlin Internacional [de la RDA]. Fue una maravilla poder escuchar los cambios que sucedieron en aquel entonces. Aun existe muros como en el Continente Americano que debemos superar. Si se puede superar esos muros.

Radio Rumania Internacional: Premio AG Mejor Cobertura de Un Evento Historico

En tiempos historicos, hay emisoras sobresalientes en las coberturas. Radio Rumania Internacional dio una cobertura extraordinaria de la lucha de Moldova por su libertad y democracia despues de unas elecciones presidenciales y parlamentarias controversiales. En estas elecciones, los vestigios de la Guerra Fria [El Partido Comunista de Moldova] perdieron los comicios.

Por esa cobertura extraordinaria [donde un periodista de la prensa rumana recibio heridas de la policia gubernamental de Moldova], el Noticiero Alvarez-Galloso tiene el placer, honor, y orgullo en otorgar el Premio AG para La Mejor Cobertura de Un Evento Historico a Radio Rumania Internacional.

Nuevo Tecnico Para Rumania/New Coach for Romania [Futbol/Football/Soccer]

Radio Rumania Internacional [la emisora de la Radio y Televisión de Rumania que emite mediante la onda corta y la vía cibernética] anuncio el despido de Víctor Piturca como Técnico del Equipo Nacional de Rumania.  La cadena deportiva ESPN emitió el anuncio horas después.

Razvan Lucescu fue electo por voto unánime en los comicios del equipo como el nuevo técnico. La razón fue obvia pues Rumania no logro clasificarse para la Copa Mundial 2010 en Sudáfrica.

El Sr. Lucescu fue electo después del rechazo de su papa Mircea Lucescu para convertirse en técnico. Considero que la decisión fue acertada por parte de Rumania.

El equipo de Rumania esta en 5to lugar en la clasificación de su grupo con ocho puntos detrás de Serbia. Incluso, Rumania perdió los últimos juegos contra Austria y Serbia. El equipo nacional de Rumania tenía problemas concernientes a la corrupción y los arreglos del juego.

Rumania esta en buenas manos bajo Lucescu y puede comenzar de nuevo para la Copa Mundial 2014. Lucescu era portero y era técnico de Rapid Bucarest por tres años. Fue por el esfuerzo de Lucescu que el equipo gano dos copas nacionales en su país y llegaron a los cuarto finales del campeonato UEFA.

Lucescu rechazo ofertas de otros clubes fuera de Rumania para convertirse en técnico de FC Brasov. Bajo la batuta de Lucescu, FC Brasov llego a las altas esferas en el futbol rumano.

El papa de Razvan Lucescu [Mircea Lucescu] es técnico del equipo Shahktar Donetsk. El llevo su equipo hacia las semifinales de la UEFA en el 2009.

The External Shortwave Service of Romanian Radio and Television called Radio Romania International announced that Victor Piturca has been replaced by Razvan Lucescu as coach of the Romanian National Team.

The news comes after a special election within the Romanian National Football [Soccer] Team. The post was first offered to Mircea Lucescu for his efforts in taking Shahktar Donetsk to the UEFA Semi Finals. He refused the offer.

The National Team then called on his son Razvan Lucescu who accepted the job as coach. The election of Lucescu comes as no surprise taking into account the poor performance of the Romanian National Football [Soccer] Team in the 2010 World Cup Classifications.

Romania lost its games against Serbia and Austria. Romania is currently eight points behind Serbia

The Romanian National Team was suffering from cases of corruption and match fixing. Romania did the right thing in replacing Piturca with Lucescu and there is the possibility of a brighter future for the team.

Romanian Football Scandal

FC Arges in Romania has been the scene of a football corruption scandal involving three referees and one observer. Others who have been implicated are Cornel Penescu who is the owner of FC Arges and Gheorghe Constantin former President of the Central Referee Commission.

 

They have been accused of receiving 100 Euros in order to arrange games. At the current time, Penescu and Constantin have been placed under arrest under the charge of bribery. There has been another case of corruption in Romanian Football.

 

The case deals with corruption, illegal player transactions in which the Steaua Bucharest Owner Gigi Becali is involved. It remains to be seen how these scandals will play itself out and how it could affect Romania in Domestic and International Football.
