Napoli 1-0 Steaua Bucuresti

Napoli and Steaua Bucuresti faced each other in the UEFA Europa League 2011 Group K. The last time they faced each other in September 2010, Napoli stunned Steaua with an equalizer. 

Edinson Cavani surprised the goal keeper Ciprian Tatarusanu with a clean cut goal within the last few minutes of the game.

Cavani was assisted by a corner kick by Hamsik and proceeded to kick the ball with his right foot. The ball landed in the corner of the goal post past a stunned Tatarusanu.

The game itself was filled with tension with both teams looking for possesion of the game and ball. The Steaua Bucuresti was strong in its counteroffensive and the defensive while Napoli was aggressive in its play.

Both teams made mistakes which lead to yellow cards on both sides with Szekely, Bonfirm, Maggio, Cannavaro, Surdor, and Litolevici.

Cannavaro was eventually expelled from the game after receiving his second yellow card for his unsportslike conduct within the last minute of the game.

Regardless, it appears that Napoli was enjoying the moment of truth in this game. It was also enjoying its rise through Group K of the UEFA Europa League 2011.

At the present time, Liverpool FC is in first place with ten points, SSC Napoli is in second place with seven points, FC Steaua Bucuresti is in third place with six points, and FC Utrecht is in last place with five points.

Mihai Stoica: Gerente General de FC Steaua Bucuresti

El venerable FC Steaua Bucuresti en Rumania aprobó el nombramiento de Mihai Stoica como Gerente General del club.

La elección de Stoica ocurrió durante el tiempo de tumulto para el club durante la Liga Europa UEFA.

En el presente, FC Steaua Bucuresti gano su último partido de la UEFA contra FC Utrecht en Octubre 2010 y enfrentara a Liverpool en Diciembre del mismo año.

FC Steaua Bucuresti sigue en segundo lugar en el Grupo K de la Liga Europa UEFA

Mihai Stoica nació en Rumania en 1965 y comenzó su carrera como gerente en el 1992 con el club FC Otelul Galati. El siguió como gerente de este club hasta el 2002.

Entonces funciono como Presidente de FC Steaua Bucuresti hasta el 2007 seguido con la presidencia de FC Unirea Urziceni hasta el presente.

El periodo de Stoica dejo victorias en las Copas de Rumania y en la Liga de Campeones UEFA.

Mihai Stoica: New Manager of FC Steaua Bucuresti

Mihai Stoica has just been appointed General Manager of FC Steaua Bucuresti. FC Steaua Bucuresti is a club owned by Gigi Becali who is a sports personality and politician in Romania.

The appointment comes at a time when the team is facing Liverpool in its next game for the UEFA Europa League.

The Romanian Team has defeated FC Utrecht in October of 2010.

Mihai Stoica also known as M.M. Stoica or Meme Stoica was born in Romania in 1965. He has worked his way up the ladder in Romanian Football.

He started his career as a General Manager and CEO of FC Otelul Galati in 1992. He served in this position for the club until 2002.

In the year 2002, he served in the capacity as President of Steaua Bucuresti until 2007 when he was accepted a similar position with Unirea Urziceni.

He remained with Unirea Urziceni until his current appointment with his former club Steaua Bucuresti.

His record includes victories in the Romanian Super Championships as well as its Supercopa.and the UEFA Champions League.

The club is currently in second place in the Group K UEFA Europa League with five points behind first place Liverpool which has five.

It remains to be seen how the club will fare with the new General Manager.
