The Future for Drogba and Mourinho?
As Drogba heads towards the Ivory Coast to participate in the Africa’s Cup of Nation, many of the pundits are wandering about his future with Chelsea in wake of reports by Press TV.
The pundits are also wandering about the future of The Great One after he refused to become The National Coach of England.
Press TV and the Sports Magazine As reported again about Drogba leaving Chelsea for AC Milan as soon as his contract expires while Mourinho has been picked to succeed Ancellotti as Coach of the team. BBC Sports made similar reports. The Daily Sports have also added fuel to the speculations by reporting on Drogba and The Great One going to Milan.
Drogba has been rumored to want to leave Chelsea but these were squashed after a conversation with Grant. Drogba retracted his earlier statements and said that he wanted to play for Chelsea. Drogba had also stated that he did want to discuss his future with Chelsea until he “meets privately at the end of the [2007-2008] season”.
As is also reporting that FC Barcelona is interested in replacing Rijkaard with Mourinho but he prefers Milan to Barcelona. This report has also been repeated by Press TV.
While originally stating that Drogba and Mourino would be ideal for AC Milan, I decided to review all of the reports extensively. I now conclude that either the reports are true with the people and clubs involved withholding comments or that the clubs and players involved are just experimenting with this type of news in order to see the reaction of the press.
I will not believe unless there is proof. These stories appear to be too good to be true.

I Support Chelsea
Lampard has stated that he would like to remain in Chelsea until he retires.
As a Chelsea Supporter, I applaud his decision to support Chelsea. For the detractors who are questioning his loyalty thinking of monetary gains or retirement, I have to disagree.
While understanding that money makes the world go around and changes loyalties, there are still people who love a club or are content to work where they are. There are people who love their clubs and not one amount of money will change that.
It is refreshing to see that Lampard still feels that way about Chelsea. My heart is also with Chelsea and Stamford Bridge and there is nothing like loyalty to a team and an organization.
In Defence of Chelsea
My mind, heart, and soul is fed up with the constant criticisms of Chelsea by those who do not like or understand Chelsea. I respect those who criticize Chelsea but please respect my right to defend Chelsea.
PRESENT HISTORY:
For those who criticize Chelsea, I have something to say. Chelsea may have their problems, but Chelsea and Stamford Bridge are the greatest team in the English Premiership with players such as Cech, Ashley Cole, and Drogba. Who cannot forget Frank Lampard at one time scored 71 goals in 272 appearances for Chelsea with 12 international goals, 48 international caps within 5 years at Chelsea.
PAST HISTORY:
The glorious past of Chelsea had players such as Blunstone, and Cooke. Who cannot forget one of the greatest strikers Tommy Lawton with 35 goals in 53 appearances, 23 international caps, 16 international goals. Tommy Lawton with his actions as a Chelsea Team Member after the Second World War made the people of England and the World forget their troubles.
2007-2008 SEASON:
While the only thing that needs to be done is to have Grant resolve his licence dilemma, [It must be remembered that Grant does not have a UEFA Licence to Coach] Chelsea has been able to rise from the ashes of the resignation of “The Great One” called Jose Mourinho and the aftermath to arrive at third place with 44 points at the Barclay Premier League Table with 44 points behind the second place Manchester United with 45 points and the first place Arsenal with 47 points [on the 1st of January 2008 @ 1447].
ENVY:
There is another problem with Chelsea, the envy of others. An example of this envy is one of the referees whose name is Dowd. Of course, Dowd spread his envy and inadequacies as a referee further by awarding a red card to Ashley Cole [Chelsea] and Zat Knight [Aston Vila] for penalties that deserved a yellow card. Dowd is in need of an evaluation by a group of psychiatrists and psychologists for his inferiority complex. Dowd should also take a course in how to become a better referee. After all, everyone needs a refresher course.
Another example of envy has been the FA for supporting Dowd and ruling against Chelsea whenever there is an opportunity. The FA Needs to resolve its problems of envy and start tending to English Football.
Who cannot forget the charities that Chelsea participated in? Who cannot forget that for one day while in hospitalized for food poisoning and in an intensive care unit, Chelsea [as well as other Premiership Teams] helped me on the road to recovery. Chelsea rescued me from an almost certain death in the Intensive Care Unit.
Chelsea may eventually change its style of play but other teams should do the same. I will be a Chelsea Supporter till the last breath of my life. Even then, I hope to be buried with Chelsea Souvenirs and close to Stamford Bridge if economics permits.
Long Live Chelsea and Long Live Stamford Bridge!
Mourinho & Chelsea
MOURINHO AND DROGBA IN MILAN
According to reports from Press TV and the French Sports Magazine L Equipe, Mourinho and Drogba will be signing contracts with AC Milan during the 2008-2009 Football Season.
According to reports, Mourinho has a pre contract to replace Carlo Ancelotti when he quits as AC Milan’s Coach. Mourinho has plans to sign Drogba as soon as he coaches AC Milan.
It seems as though the pieces fit in the puzzle, Mourinho refused to be England’s National Coach hinting that he wants to coach an Italian or Spanish League Team. The AC Milan job would be ideal for Mourinho.
Is Drogba serious about Chelsea? Will Drogba move to AC Milan? Will Mourinho manage AC Milan? Is it truth or drama?

Appeals Rejected/Apelaciones Rechazadas
APPEALS REJECTEDAppeals by Cole and Knight were rejected by the FA. This is a case of injustice and enough to cause anger in Roberto. Phil Dowd is an example of why the UEFA must have a course for referees.
Phil Dowd as well as many referees have shown contempt and hatred for the teams and the sports. It appears that Phil Dowd is pursuing his own agenda of making Chelsea and other teams look miserable. His decisions are based on his lack of knowledge of being a referee and being a bore at the same time.
Phil Dowd has ruled red card on what were yellow card decisions with Chelsea and Aston Vila paying the price for his cerebral masturbation.
Phil Dowd should take a course in how to be a referee. There should be a course for UEFA Referees which includes getting a licence to practice.
APELACIONES NEGADA
Chelsea & Aston Vila VS Red Card
Roberto was unable to see the match between Aston Vila and Chelsea for reasons beyond his control. As Roberto is returning to a normal lifestyle after the Christmas Season, he read about the Red Cards awarded to Carvalho and Cole from Chelsea and Knight from Aston Vila by Phil Dowd [referee].
Again, Roberto was able to see some video clips and was impressed with both teams but was angered at the arbitrariness of the Phil Dowd. While Phil Dowd has the difficult job of maintaining order within the game, he has gone too far and was unfair in his decision to Carvalho, Cole, and Chelsea. Phil Dowd was also unfair with Aston Vila and Knight.
While Carvalho deserves praise for apologizing to Agbonlahor and is not appealing, Dowd owes Chelsea and Cox an apology. Dowd also owes Aston Vila and Knight an apology.
Dowd owes an apology for his poor rulings. Cole did not intentionally head the ball off the line, he was playing the field. There is no evidence of Cole having used his hands on the goal line. There have been games in which the players received a yellow card for the same “offence” committed by Cole. It occurred in the Sept 2007 game between Miami FC and Charleston [which I saw personally].
Knight receiving a red card for his “offence” against Ballack did not deserve it. The least he could have received was a yellow card. The so called fouling of Ballack by Knight earned a yellow card in the same game seen by Roberto on Sept 2007.
The problem is that referees have too much power and the majority have yet to read some of the cardinal rules of football. What Dowd has done is proof that that there is a need for a training course with a licencing examination for referees. If Coaches have to take a UEFA Pro Licence, why cannot there be a UEFA Licence for Referees?
In closing, I would like to wish my readers a Happy New Year.
Chelsea Defeats Liverpool
It was a pleasure to enjoy the good news of Chelsea in the Carling Cup Semifinals. Chelsea had an opponent that was formidable such as Liverpool. Liverpool was unable to score and fell to Chelsea in the second half after the goals of Lampard and Shevchenko. I had to celebrate with cups of cold coffee and milk as well as wearing my Chelsea T Shirt and Cap. As for those who want to punish without justification Chelsea and Ashley Cole, Peter Crouch had no right to tackle Mikel John Obi. In fact, I applaud the referees’ decision to expel Crouch from the game. This expulsion affected Liverpool but there was no reason to use physical force.
At the end, Chelsea was finishing off Liverpool and not even the substitutions [on both sides] could resolve the outcome. Chelsea deserves praise and congratulations. This was the best Christmas Present that any Chelsea Supporter could receive [at least this supporter in Florida].
Chelsea 2-0 Liverpool
Chelsea: 8/10
Liverpool: 2/10
Cole, Fabregas, and the FA [Part II]
It appears that Ashley Cole is still waiting for the FA Decision in favour or against him. The decision is expected on the 26th of December 2007. It will not be denied that Cole and Arsenal had problems in the past. It was also unprofessional on Cole’s part to criticize Arsenal after leaving on his autobiography. It is also understandable that Arsenal is angry at the way Cole criticized them after leaving.Having made the above statements, I still consider that Cole and Chelsea are being singled out for persecution by the FA. Chelsea and Cole should also be commended for playing under pressure in spite of the problems in the beginning of the 2007-2008 Premiership Season.
FA, Cole, & Fabregas
It appears that Ashley Cole, and Cesc Fabregas may have had a confrontation during the Arsenal VS Chelsea Game of the 16th of December 2007. The FA is still ruling on what to do.
Roberto saw portions of the video in question of Cole VS Fabregas and thinks that both players may have been provoked by the public. It appears that Cole and Fabregas should not have been provoked.
It is also unfair that Chelsea is the scapegoat for everything that has gone wrong in the Premiership. Before punishing Cole, punish Fabregas and the public as well.
Terry Injured Again
Terry was injured during the game against Arsenal. It adds salt to the wound of our loss to Arsenal. It was a foot injury that left him inactive. As usual, Chelsea is now making sure that the injury did not result in a fracture. Regardless, I have the feeling that Terry will be out maybe for three months.
This is not a good sign as it was hoped that Chelsea could continue its progress in the Premiership League. Regardless, [with or without Terry] Chelsea will be go forward in the Premiership Games in spite of being defeated by Arsenal. Chelsea and Stamford Bridge are the greatest.
Cheslea and Stamford Bridge are the greatest because of their players and the fans. We are there in the good and the bad. In using the phrase by the rock group Queen: “No Time For Losing Cause We Are The Champions of the World”.
