Gustavo Ruelas is a rising star in the world of football/soccer for the 2st Century. He has recently been one of the latest football/soccer players from Mexican teams who have been going to Great Britain since Javier Hernandez was traded to Manchester United from Chivas of Guadalajara.

The life story of Gustavo Ruelas begins in Fontana, California on the 18th of March 1991. From the time he was born, he started showing an interest in football/soccer.  He started to fine tune his football/soccer plays in the football/soccer academy run by Carlos Aguirre.

Carlos Aguirre saw potential in Ruelas and he started to participate in the Under 18 or Under 21 teams in the United States of America and Mexico. He began to become noticed in professional circles with his debut with CD Chivas USA.

The alliance between Gustavo Ruelas and CD Chivas USA lasted from 2005 to 2006.

Gustavo Ruelas eventually was transferred to Santos Laguna from CD Chivas USA in the year 2006. In Santos Laguna, he was one of the most effective strikers and surprised opponents with his tactics on the field.

He also served as the captain for the Under 20 Santos Laguna team with equal success.

The rising career of Gustavo Ruelas went further when Celtic FC concluded a deal with Santos Laguna to have him on loan. The terms of the loan were one year with an option to buy Ruelas from Santos Laguna.

Celtic FC and Santos Laguna have established ties in football/soccer clubs and have been making increasing headway into the possibility of their players being loaned to each other.

The result of the deal was that Gustavo Ruelas was transferred to Celtic FC in Scotland where he is learning the ropes of football/soccer in the Scottish League. It has not been an easy transition but it appears that Ruelas has made it.

The reaction of Gustavo Ruelas was one of being happy that he will be receiving more opportunities to learn and grow as a professional player. He made this remarks during an interview with the US Latin Station Univision and the Mexican Sports Group Mexsport.

While there have been people who have expressed their doubts about Gustavo Ruelas, it appears that the doubters many be proved wrong. Gustavo Ruelas is not a person who can be underestimated when on the field.

Gustavo Ruelas is a football/soccer star who has come of age in the sports world of the 21st Century and it appears that he will be one of the predominant forces.

1. How is Carlos Aguirre as a person in the past as well as present tense?

Carlos Aguirre is and has been a person who is hardworking and whose success comes from sacrifice, dedication, and the desire to improve oneself. He has achieved success on the basis of these factors and is a man of character, dignity, and professional experience but with humility.

2. How did you get started as a football trainer?

I started by learning in all of the spheres about the sport with discipline, dedication, and a burning desire to learn. I also wanted to teach football since I love the sport. My desire to learn and teach was borne of having witnessed many acts of injustice against my people and the desire to help them overcome.

3. What was the level of difficulty in studying to become a football trainer and why?

There is a reason why studying a career is difficult. When an individual does not have the support makes it even more difficult. What has helped me in spite of my handicaps is the desire to learn. When you put your mind into your dream, nothing is impossible.

4. Gustavo Ruelas is one of the Astros of the Mexican Team Santos Laguna. He is now in Scotland on loan from that team to Celtic FC as part of increasing contacts between the two teams. How was your experience with Gustavo Ruelas during the time that you trained him?

I knew him since he was a child when he was playing in a soccer club during my period as director. I started to train him and the experience was unforgettable including the victories, defeats, and his graduation to different levels. He and his family were also my family.

5.  What was the history of your academy?

I started after seeing many children who did not have the adequate education in sports and without opportunities. It was then that I started an academy based on soccer through hard work, and discipline.

6.  How was the professional life of Gustavo Ruelas?

In the beginning, he was like any player who started with dreams of becoming a professional. He began to mature in soccer because of his discipline, hard work, and the support of his family. It was these qualities that helped him arrive at where he is now which is playing football in Europe.

7. How many students are in your academy?

Approximately 25 students and the academy continue to grow in leaps and bounds.

8. In addition to Ruelas, have you trained other Astros of football?

I have not trained other players but have helped them become Astros such as Carlos Ochoa, Juan Nava, and Adrian Flores.

9. Great Britain like the rest of the European Continent seems enchanted with what is going on in Mexican Football. Is this a fad or is it permanent?

Great Britain and the European Continent are extremely interested in the activities and services of Mexican footballers. There have been many Mexicans playing football since the 1980’s starting with Hugo Sanchez. Since Hugo Sanchez, there have been many others who have immigrated to Europe to play football.

10. How do you compare Gustavo Ruelas with Chicharito Hernández or Giovanni Dos Santos?

At the present time, there is no comparison between these three players. Both of them are of different eras and Ruelas is beginning his career. Only time will tell.

11. What is your advice for those who want a career in sports including football or any career?

My advice is to propose a goal en every aspect whether it is sports or any profession. What you propose you can achieve.Thank you

The Mexican Team of Santos Laguna have formalized a recent agreement with Celtic FC of Glasgow, Scotland in the wake of Mexican players going off to European Leagues. It has been more so since Chicharito Hernandez was transferred to Manchester United from Chivas of Guadalajara.

The recent news of the transfer on loan of Gustavo Ruelas to Celtic FC from Santos Laguna FC have lead many people to talk about whether or not he will be staying with Santos or going to Celtic. It is important for Celtic supporters to know more about their latest loan.

Gustavo Ruelas was born in Fontana, California on Mar. 18, 1991 and holds double Mexican and American Citizenship. His height is 1.86 meters and he weighs 78 kilograms which leaves me wandering about the measurements in pounds

He also plays for the Under 20 group of the US Soccer Team as well as the Santos Laguna FC. He also once played for the Chivas USA team in the same age group. He has yet to debut in the First Division of the Mexican League.

Ruelas has been taking the news in stride by saying that he is happy and surprised about his meteoric rise in football/soccer. He states that while footballers/soccer players expect to progress as much as possible, he did not expect to go so far and so fast.

Regardless, Celtic FC have not confirmed nor denied the arrival of Ruelas to their team or to Scotland. Ruelas has been in conversation with Efrain Juarez who is in Glasgow concerning the deal which will land Ruelas with Celtic FC.

While Celtic FC have not confirmed nor denied the arrival of Ruelas, the possibility exists that he will be training exclusively in Scotland.

It is great that Santos Laguna and Celtic FC (which is another favorite team) are now in agreement about players. It is also refreshing to see the interest in Mexican players as well as Mexican American ones such as Ruelas who has the advantage of dominating English.

It remains to be seen whether Celtic FC will confirm or deny the news about the arrival of Gustavo Ruelas. Regardless, it is the beginning of a new era for football/soccer teams and fans in Scotland and Mexico.

Zheng Zhi is one of the greatest football players in China. He recently signed a two year contract with Celtic FC after spending the last two seasons with Charlton Athletic. After his arrival in Glasgow, Zheng Zhi will be participating in a press conference and then practice for the rest of the Celtic Football Season

In the beginning, I would have written an article suggesting that Celtic FC drop Artur Boruc from their team. I was about to criticize Artur Boruc for the mistakes made during the game between Celtic FC and Dundee. After reading about the positive and negative aspects of Artur Boruc, I have decided that Celtic FC should not drop Artur Boruc.

Artue Boruc is one of the best goalies that has appeared in the Celtic FC roster. He should not be paying for mistakes that while avoidable are not the cause for dropping a person. It should be understood that the goalie is the most difficult job in football [soccer]. The job of the goalie is to make sure that the opposing team does not kick the ball past him or her in order to score a goal.

The job of a goalie requires action as well as quick thinking in order to block an attempted goal. The result can be a fifty percent success or a fifty percent failure. The job of the goalie is further complicated by the pressures placed on him or her by the team and the public that supports the team. If the goalie succeeds in blocking the ball, he or she is praised. If not, they are criticized and converted into non entities with the media suggesting a replacement.

The Left Back for Celtic FC whose name is Lee Naylor once said that Artur Boruc is the “best keeper for Britain and would have been the best keeper for England if he had been born South of the Border [between England and Scotland". Strachan [who is one of the heads of the Celtic FC by going one step further and declaring that "Goalies have their bad days and good days".

Why should Boruc shoulder the blame for allowing a goal by Colin Mc Menamin of Dundee? It may have produced a temporary setback for Celtic FC but they eventually won the game. If Boruc were to be removed by Celtic FC secondary to a minor setback, it would be the equivalent of how Thaksin Shinawatra [as owner of Manchester City] treated Sven Goren Ericksson when he served as Coach of Manchester City. The result was since there “was no perfection, the person who is imperfect has to be removed”.

Nothing in the world of sports especially football [soccer] is perfect and to remove Boruc would be an error. It would allow coaches and owners to put a perfection that does not exist above the player and that is not good for the team or its members.
