Orlando Urdanetta es el Ganador del Premio AG por su cancion: “Porque No Te Callas”. He tenido el honor en conocer al Sr. Urdanetta cuando vivi en Venezuela. En esa epoca como hoy, es artista de alta categoria y este humilde servidor era adolecente que vivia a una cuadra del Hotel Intercontinetal Valencia. Me moria de risa con sus chistes igual como la cancion “Porque No Te Callas”. Por eso y mucho mas, merece el Premio AG de la Cancion para el 2007

Julieta Venegas por su maravilloso exito con el disco “Limon y Sal” y por estar a favor del amor y la paz recibe el Premio AG de La Novia Mundial 2007. Incluso, merece tener este premio y este titulo por ser una artista sencilla con su mensaje de paz y amor. Por eso y mucho mas, Julieta Venegas sera bautizada y galardonada con el titulo: “La Novia Mundial” por el Noticiero Alvarez Galloso

PARIS HILTON QUIERE AYUDAR A LOS “ELEFANTES BORRACHOS”

As a writer, I am in support of the Writer’s Guild of America Strike. It appears that the Writer’s Guild of America is the Weak Spot of Hollywood and the Entertainment Industry in America.

For too long, Hollywood and the Entertainment Industry has been self centered with the big stars receiving the big money while the writers who have families of their own receive the crumbs from the tables of Hollywood Executives, Stars, and those of the upper echelon in Hollywood and the US Entertainment Industry.

While it is understandable that the actions taken by the Writer’s Guild of America may affect television shows, Broadway Plays, and even late night comedy; the Writers have a right to strike in order to receive their fair share of the salary in Hollywood. While most people are asleep, it takes a writer in Hollywood and the US Entertainment time to think of a concept, write it down on paper or on a computer screen only to have the star, the producer, or the director change his or her mind a thousand times before reaching a “perfection” that will never exist.

After all is said and done, the elite in the US Entertainment Industry is never grateful to the writer. The Credits as well as the High Salaries go to the Stars and Directors. The One Liners belong to the Comedian or the Politicians instead of the writers. Even Ellen De Generes could not do any jokes because of the Writer’s Strike. Maybe she refused to support the strike. Maybe she is dependent on her writers.

Eva Longoria [even though her role in Desperate Housewife is a disgrace] was able to show her inner as well as outer beauty when she distributed pizza to the strikers. Eva Longoria is very intelligent as well. She is aware that without the writers, Desperate Housewives would be off the air, and she would have to find another job modeling.

Jay Leno and David Letterman have threatened to take action against those who are in the strike [or at least that has been rumoured]. Both shows have had to broadcast pre recorded programmes of the past secondary to the strike.

Whatever happens, I SUPPORT THE STRIKE BY THE WRITER’S GUILD OF AMERICA SINCE THEIR WRITERS ARE MY FAMILY. AS A WRITER, MY FELLOW WRITERS HAVE MY SUPPORT, MY THOUGHTS, AND PRAYERS.

El “Compas de Oro” de Nicole Kidman es una pelicula racista contra Dios y los Latinos.

The movie ³The Golden Compass² starring Nicole Kidman is coming to theaters December 7th. It is based on the trilogy of books by atheist, Phillip Pullman, of England and is geared towards children. He wants children to denounce God and Heaven but he does it in a very subtle way that parents may not pick up on what his true intentions are. In a 2003 interview, Pullman said, ³My books are about killing God.²

Uno de los grupos del genero de la musica autoctona andina es el grupo chileno Illapu. Hablar de Illapu es hablar de una aventura musical que comenzo en 1971 y sigue vigente a pesar de los fuertes vientos de la comercializacion y mediocridad de la musica. De los albumes de Illapu, los tres con significado son “Despedida Del Pueblo”, “En Estos Dias”, y “Sereno”.

“Despedida Del Pueblo” era el primer album de Illapu que recibi durante las Navidades de 1977. El Album era una creacion que inspiraba a la tranquilidad y el pensamiento. Opino que “Despedida Del Pueblo” trataba de un individuo que queria ser exitoso sin perder sus raices [incluso vi una pelicula en el cine de los independientes con ese titulo y ese argumento].

Canciones como “Candombe para Jose” “Diana” “Socorrome~na” y “Longuita Otavale~na” eran canciones en ese disco que hace pensar del contrato social entre el ser humano y la naturaleza.

“En Estos Dias” en los 1990’s con sus temas instrumentales y canciones como “Voy A Beber Del Pozo De Mis Sue~nos” es una muestra como Illapu se mantiene vigente incluso agreagando generos como una bachata.

“Sereno” contiene temas instrumentales para el oyente que quiere hacer un viaje hacia la libertad.

He tenido el honor de asistir a un concierto de Illapu en 1979 [durante mi estadia en Venezuela] y en verdad en esa epoca, su musica era superior a la musica frivola de la discoteca. He tenido el honor de conocer uno de los integrantes que se llama Marcelo Valsecchi.

El Sr. Valsecchi como Illapu mostro su sencillez en conversar con este fiel oyente de su musica. El Sr. Valsecchi y Illapu quedaron con las mil maravillas de un fiel oyente nacido en el estado de Ohio [donde no hay latinos] que queria aferrar a su cultura].

Por eso y mucho mas, dedico estas lineas a esa gran institucion que es Illapu
