Comentario Sobre Arizona y Los Deportes en Radio Nederlands

El efecto Arizona se sintió en un partido de beisbol entre los Diamantes de Arizona y los Cachorros de Chicago. Los manifestantes a favor y en contra de la Ley SB 1070 hicieron sentir su presencia.

Los perdedores son aquellos que pagaron para asistir a un partido en Chicago entre los equipos. Parece que los derechos de aquellos que querían disfrutar un partido libre de las tensiones de la vida cotidiana no pueden hacerlo.

Mi sugerencia para los manifestantes es que deben manifestar en los lugares del gobierno y dejar tranquilo los deportes.

Keep Politics Out Of Baseball: Protestors Should Leave Fans Alone

The Arizona Diamondbacks faced the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field with demonstrators in favor of and against the new immigration laws signed by Jan Brewer (the governor Of Arizona).

I may not be in agreement with what has transpired in Arizona but a baseball game is NOT the place to discuss politics or hold political demonstrations. It is reprehensible what is going on when politics interfered with the joys of sports

While the USA allows for peaceful demonstrations as a form of freedom of speech, doing so in front of a baseball stadium is reprehensible. People who go to sporting events of any kind go to relax and escape from the routines and tensions of everyday life.

It appears that one cannot relax in a sporting event with political demonstrations. I call on the spectators to ignore the political demonstrations from both sides of the immigration issue in front of any baseball or sporting events by saying yes in mind, heart, and soul to sports without politics.

Martín Vásquez, Director Técnico de Chivas USA, enfrenta mañana a Carlos de los Cobos, del Chicago Fire, en el primer enfrentamiento de técnicos mexicanos en la MLS

 

CARSON, Ca. (Viernes, 30 de abril, 2010) – Chivas USA, del Director Técnico mexicano Martín Vásquez, visitará este sábado al Fire de Chicago, del también técnico mexicano Carlos de los Cobos, en el primer enfrentamiento entre entrenadores aztecas en la Major League Soccer. El encuentro se disputará en el Toyota Park de la ciudad de Chicago e iniciará a partir de las 5:30 p.m. Hora del Pacífico (7:30 p.m. Hora Local).

 

Vásquez se convirtió en el primer técnico mexicano en ser contratado en la MLS en diciembre pasado al reemplazar a Preki al mando del conjunto del Rebaño Angelino. Un mes después, De los Cobos fue presentado en Chicago como reemplazo de Dennis Hamlett. Vásquez y De los Cobos se han enfrentado anteriormente en la Liga Mexicana como jugadores.

 

El también mexicano Javier “Zully” Ledesma había dirigido en 2005 a Chivas USA en condición de Director Técnico Interino. Ambos, Vásquez y De los Cobos debutan en la presente temporada como Directores Técnicos en la MLS.

 

Tanto Chivas USA como el Fire vienen de victorias en la pasada jornada. Chicago logró su primera victoria en casa al doblegar categóricamente al Dynamo de Houston por 2-0, mientras que Chivas USA venció 3-2 a los Terremotos de San José, practicando su mejor futbol en lo que va de la temporada. Chivas USA anotó tres goles en un partido ante San José, algo que no sucedía desde octubre de 2008.

 

En la historia entre estos dos equipos en el Pizza Hut Park, el Fire tiene tres victorias por dos de Chivas USA. Ya van tres partidos consecutivos que Chivas USA no le puede ganar al Fire, pues la temporada pasada Chicago venció dos veces a Chivas USA, además de doblegarlos también en la SuperLiga. El Fire está actualmente en la segunda posición de la Conferencia Este empatado con otros dos equipos, con siete puntos en cinco partidos. Por su parte, los Rojiblancos están en la quinta posición en la Conferencia Oeste con seis puntos en cinco encuentros.

 

El trío constarricense de Chivas USA, los defensas Darío Delgado y Michael Umaña, así como del recién contratado José Macotelo podría ver acción el día de mañana en el Toyota Park.

 

Para este partido, Chivas USA sufrirá la ausencia del cubano Maykel Galindo, baja por un esguince de tobillo izquierdo, así como del salvadoreño Osael Romero por un esguince de tobillo derecho, y quien no se podrá reencontrar con sus compatriotas Julio Martínez y Deris Umanzor. 

 

El partido entre Chivas USA ante el Fire de Chicago se transmitirá a las 5:30 p.m. por KWHY y KDOC en el área de Los Ángeles. Chivas USA luego visitará al New England el próximo miércoles y regresará el próximo 8 de mayo al Home Depot Center para ser anfitrión del Dynamo de Houston. Esa noche será dedicado a las Fuerzas Armadas y los primeros 7,500 aficionados que lleguen al estadio recibirán una gorra conmemorativa. Los Rojiblancos firman a Macotelo, de 24 años de edad, en condición de préstamo proveniente del Puntarenas F.C.

 

CARSON, Ca. (Viernes, 30 de abril, 2010) – Chivas USA anunció el viernes la contratación del mediocampista/delantero costarricense José Macotelo en condición de préstamo proveniente del Puntarenas F.C. de Costa Rica. Macotelo, de 24 años, ha recibido su visa de trabajo y pase internacional, por lo que estará elegible para jugar este sábado ante Chicago.  Por política de la liga y del equipo, los términos del contrato no fueron revelados.

 

 “José es un jugador joven y dinámico que puede traer mucho al equipo”, dijo el Director Técnico de Chivas USA, Martín Vásquez. “Estamos emocionados de tenerlo en el equipo y esperamos verlo en acción en la cancha”, agregó.

 

Nacido el 12 de julio de 1985, Macotelo debutó con el Puntarenas F.C. de Costa Rica, jugando con su ahora también compañero Darío Delgado. El mediocampista/delantero hizo su debut en la temporada 2004-05 y desde ese entonces ha jugado en 79 partidos, anotando 9 goles. Macotelo ganó también el Torneo Interclubes de la  UNCAF con el Puntarenas F.C. en 2006 al vencer al Olimpia de Honduras en la final.

Alex Snitker In Four Way Florida Senate Race

Alex Snitker has surprised and shocked the political world in Florida by announcing he is running for the US Senate as a candidate of the Libertarian Party. The announcement comes at a time when Marco Rubio is running as a Republican, K.Meeks is running as a Democrat, and Charlie Crist [the Republican Governor of Florida] is running as an Independent.

He has decided to run as a Libertarian Candidate after the candidates themselves have been attacking each other instead of discussing the burning issues of the day in the Sunshine State. It was not an easy feat since the Libertarian Party has to overcome obstavles of ballot access in a society that has promoted freedom, human rights, and democracy while not practicing it at home.

Alex Snitker was a member of the US Marine Corp from 1993 to 2001 who is currently married to his high school sweetheart Kelly since 2000. They have a son who is currently 21 months of age. He considers his experience with the Marines helpful in being a Senator who is willing to serve his people and provide for a governance that is transparent. The qualities which are needed in the USA of the 21st Century.

He went to work as a salesman for AXSA Document Solutions after his honorable discharge from the military. His experience from his work as a salesman is that hard work pays off in the short and long run.

Alex Snitker is a believer in term limits for Members of Congress, the Senate, and that they should have the same retirement plan as the rest of the citizens of the USA. He is also a beleiver is the Balanced Budget Amendment which would limit the US Federal Government to spending equal or less than what it gains. In other words, he favors an America that would live within its means instead of spending money on wasteful projects.

He is also a believer in using the energy available in the USA without the need to depend on foreign sources. Alex Snitker also believes in the Fair Tax which would replace the current tax system with a federal retail sales tax which would be administered by the tax authorities of the 50 states of the Union. He is also a believer in non interference in the affairs of the world.

Alex Snitker has repeatedly stated that the USA should stop being a police person to the world and promote liberty by showing it in America to the world. He believes that a strong military is needed to defend the USA against internal and external enemies within the borders of the USA. The idea of illegal immigration according to ALex Snitker is to identify each one since no country can survive with open borders.

He is of the belief that illegal immigarnts should either be deported or give them a path to citizenship such as paying taxes, background checks, medical screening, and a course on the rights, responsibilities of being a US Citizen which includes the history of the country. The response of the establishment has been indifferent to censoring the news.

The mainstream media does not allow political announcements by Alex Snitker because they do not want to upset the status quo. Regardless, the people have a right to know about Snitker in order to make a decision in November 2010.

2010 World Cup: US Soccer Team

The United States Soccer Team was once the laughing stock of FIFA and soccer fans around the world. The countries of the world used to take pride in defeating it as a form of compensation of not being able to defeat America by military and economic might. The countries that laughed at the United States did not separate sports from politics.

It has a long tradition dating back to the 19th Century even though the team has experienced popularity within the last 20 years. The USA defeated England in the 1950 World Cup which was held in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. The USA has hosted the 1994 World Cup and its team has appeared in every World Cup since 1990. While it has not advanced to the semi finals, it has done an impressive job within the last two decades.

The team itself has given rise to clubs and associations within the USA including the MLS [Major League Soccer]. The year 2009 was the year in which the sleeping giant of the American Continent awoke from its sleep. In the 2009 Confederation Cup, it defeated Spain and Egypt and almost came close to defeating Brazil. While Brazil won the 2009 Confederation Cup, the USA won second place.

The 2009 CONCACAF Classifications was another game in which the USA surprised many people and won first place followed by Honduras and Mexico although not in that order. The Soccer world knows about Landon Donovan, Carlos Bocanegra, and Jozy Altidore since they have played abroad and in the USA.

The only problem that the USA has was its loss in the preliminary games before the 2010 World Cup. It is hoped that they could get their act together to defeat the Czech Republic and Turkey in their home field. The fans of the team are keeping their fingers crossed and praying.

The US Soccer Team is in Group C along with England, Algeria

and Slovenia. The USA can defeat Slovenia and Algeria if it is able to sort out its problems of recovering from its defeats in the preliminary games. The biggest fear is the first game between the USA and England which has been the most publicized since the 1950 World Cup.

Jozy Altidore has stated that he has faith that the USA can defeat England in their opening game. While many are writing off the US Soccer Team, it is hoped that they could win so that the USA can mature into a soccer country with the possibility of hosting the 2018 or 2022 World Cup.

2010 World Cup: England

The 2010 World Cup in South Africa is almost here with the following countries in Group C: England, United States of America, Algeria, and Slovenia. The possibilities for Group C are endless but there is a feeling that that England and the United States of America will be in first and second place before going to the semi finals followed by the quarter finals.

England will face the United States of America on the 12th of June 2010 followed by Algeria on the 18th of June 2010, and Slovenia on the 22nd of June 2010. In spite of the predictions by Zidane that Algeria will defeat all of the Group C teams, England may defeat Algeria and Slovenia easily. Whether England can defeat the United States of America or not is another question.

England has a strong football/soccer tradition and is the mother of the sports. During the Middle Ages, there were peasants and priests [as well as members of the aristocracy] who has played one form or another of football/soccer before it was regulated under the Premier Leagues. England can boast of teams such as Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Scarborough Athletic.

England is also the home of personalities such as Wayne Rooney, David Beckham, and Rio Ferdinand. The team itself has appeared in 11 World Cups and was defeated by the USA in the 1950 World Cup held in Brazil. It has won the 1966 World Cup in England as well as the 1990 one in Italy.

Regardless, England has received praise during the UEFA EURO 2004 and the 2006 World Cup only to suffer humiliiating losses. The year 2010 began with terrible news for England with John Terry being  forced to resign as Captain after a sex scandal affected the morale of the team.

England has managed to move forward from the scandal and continue its march towards the 2010 World Cup. Sir Geoff Hurst has said that Wayne Rooney is needed in order for the team to have a chance to win the 2010 World Cup. He ia also hoping that with Rooney, they can make it to the semi finals to face Spain and Brazil.

He based his comments on the experience of Wayne Rooney with Manchester United that has placed the venerable team on the top at the Premier League. It remains to be seen what will transpire when the first game of Group C between the United States of America and England begin.
